Building on the success of the previous three British Undergraduate Dental Research Conferences, with 300 attending students from 10 dental schools, the BUDRC is back for its fourth year running in 2019 and will be bigger and better than ever before! The previous three Conferences have seen great success, with over 90% of delegates rating them as excellent and events they would attend again. Hence, the first ever national undergraduate dental conference of its kind in the UK proved that over 200 dental students would travel from all corners of the country to learn and shape the future of dentistry.
The BUDRC2019 will be held on Saturday 16th of March at the University Place Building in Manchester.
The day will begin with talks on pioneering dental research by world-renowned dental professionals in subject areas that dental students get little exposure to. New to the BUDRC this year will be an interactive panel discussion featuring inspirational young dentists. Guests will then be treated to a buffet lunch, whilst having the opportunity to visit sponsor stalls (and get their hands on lots of freebies!) and meet with other students and staff. In 2019, the afternoon will offer students the chance to delve into more hands-on workshops than ever before. These interactive workshops span various fields of dentistry and include Hands-on Anterior Composite Build-ups, Dental Business and Hands-on Implants to name just a few! This gives students the opportunity to raise their core clinical skills and gain a competitive edge. The day will be rounded off with a charity raffle with big prizes to be won!
